The Hisense 65U8G has it all, 4K resolution, Quantum Dot Color, Dolby Vision HDR, 120Hz native panel, Full Array Local Dimming Zones, anti-glare panel and powerful 1,500 nit peak brightness. The 65U8G Android TV™ opens the door to more than 700,000 movies and shows, plus video streaming from Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, YouTube and more.

  • 4K ULED™-  Like 4K great, but better. The U8G has our exclusive ULED technologies. They boost color, contrast, brightness, motion… we could go on. It’s the TV your old TV wants to be.
  • Game Mode Pro-  All the most advanced gaming tech, all in this TV. HDMI 2.1 inputs recognize gaming sequences to automatically adjust settings for smooth, uninterrupted play. The automatic low-latency mode (ALLM), variable refresh rate (VRR) and FreeS-ync minimize input lag, screen jitter, and frame tearing. So your gaming looks sick even if you suck.
  • Quantum Dot Wide Color Gamut- See over one billion shades. Quantum Dot produces purer, richer, more brilliant and accurate colors than a regular LED TV. We could get into how it works. But it’s a lot easier to say it makes every day look like the 4th of July.
  • Ultra Motion and 120Hz Native refresh rate- Ultra Motion removes the digital ‘noise’ that can affect moving objects. Whether it’s a bird, a plane or the man of steel, everything you see is exceptionally clear. Blurred lines? Not on this TV, the 120Hz native refresh rate means smoother gaming with pictures that keep up with your play.
  • Dolby Vision™ & Dolby Atmos®- Dolby Vision HDR picture and Dolby Atmos sound are cinema technology for your home. They provide amazing realism you can see and hear in every scene.
  • IMAX Enhanced-IMAX Enhanced brings the cinema experience home. It combines digitally remastered 4K HDR content and DTS audio technologies with the best consumer products and streaming platforms. Built for people who want a more premier, at-home experience.

  • Peak Brightness/Full Array Local Dimming Zones-Let’s start with the science. Screen brightness is measured in nits. One nit is the same brightness as one candle. So the higher the nit rating, the brighter the screen. The average TV is 250-350 nits. Anything over 500 nits is extremely good. This is up to 1,500 nits peak brightness across 360 local dimming zones. You get the picture. A picture that’s brighter and perfectly lit in any light condition.

  • Hands Free Voice Control- Put down the remote. Change the channel, find the latest movie, stream your favorite video and more with your voice. The quicker, easier way to find whatever you want to watch.

  • Voice Remote-The backlit voice control makes controlling your TV easier. Open apps, turn the volume up or down, search for your favorite shows. And if the actual remote goes missing, use the buttons on the TV to activate ‘Find My Remote’. Five bucks says it’s down the back of the couch.

  • Google Assistant-The Google Assistant* is built into Android TV. Tell it to turn on the lights, change the thermostat, add stuff to your grocery list, or just play that video of your friend falling over for the millionth time. And with universal search, you can even get recommendations with Android TV.

Noise Reduction, Parental Control, Closed Caption, Sleep Timer,  Google Assistant Built-In, Chromecast Built-In, Web Browser,  Hands Free Voice Control (On/Off Privacy Switch) and Remote Finder

We have had this tv for about 3 weeks. It replaced a 6 yr old 60″ Samsung LED tv that was having issues. The Hisense handles glare much better, has an amazing picture and a wide viewing angle. The best value out there. Android TV works much better than the Samsung’s or Vizio’s streaming software.
I don’t use the tv for gaming so can’t comment on that, but for streaming or cable it is awesome.

I have had this television for about 2 weeks. It replaced a 50″ Samsung. I cannot comment on gaming, as that is not something this tv will be used for. The picture is extremely clear, and seems just as good as the $2400 tvs we were guided towards in BestBuy. This tv is not available in my area at any BestBuys. Seems to sell out quickly. I have not changed any of the picture settings yet. I may experiment with that (menu controls are easy). The sound on this tv is fantastic. So far, very pleased. I am using this with a cable box and streaming channels. Walmart had this tv for $1149- It was during prime day sales.

This tv is better than nearly anything on the market. You will not regret making this purchase at all. Its a beast!

Purchased about a month ago after losing a fight with Samsung, over my 10 month old High-end TV took a dump. Wasn’t sure I would like this after getting used to the aforementioned TV…. Boy was I wrong. This Hisense blows my “old” 2020 Q80T out of the water. So glad I made the switch! With the money I saved on my U8G, I can afford a decent sound bar…

The TV looks and sounds great! Definitely worth the money. Only issue is that it’s pretty heavy. But very happy with the purchase.

I have had this TV for a few months now it has been great. Oppo BD 103 at 1k through Onkyo TXNR 1010 @ 4K to TV. I really notice the 120 Hz panel. Really nice colours. There are a lot of settings I and I had to learn about sharpness, etc. But I think I got a pretty good TV. The Google TV part of it works flawlessly. Very happy with that. Does not hook up to my remote though. The frame and the stand look fantastic. Best on the market for looks I think. I bought a 5 year warranty on it. The TV speakers are fantastic. To have the TV on its own, the TV speakers are fantastic. The picture is not perfect all of the time. Like sunshine going through hair. Light enough to setup yourself.

Bought the Hisense 65U8G from NewEgg. Out of the box TV settings are not too shabby. Plenty of customization to the picture settings. Motion enhancement is perhaps overdone causing stutter in Dolby Vision or HDR content. Simply turning off motion enhancement corrects this. Filmmaker mode is really cool. 4K 120hz gaming is still very buggy and not recommended. I’d wait for the final software version release that addresses this. SDR viewing is some of the best I’ve seen and this set does a great job making 1080 content that much better. Rtings.com was right in that the set always overcompensates brightness, but bringing brightness down to about 45 fixes that. If you are looking for a jack of all trades set that wont cost you your first born son, then the Hisense 65U8G is a good bet!

I have the 65″ U8G and it has awesome picture quality. I took one star off because it’s not compatible with many soundbars when using apps i.e. prime video. Overall a great tv.

  10. Lijo

The colors look really good but the motion processing on this one is bad. Not sure if it’s just my panel. A lot of the content in panning shots loose most of the details. I will be returning ring my unit.

Never even considered a Hisense..So glad I found it. I have always bought Samsung tvs. Not anymore..Hisense nailed it in both departments picture and sound. Forget the sound bar. Thank you Hisense for a Superb tv experience!

I am giving only 4 stars. I like the tv picture quality. But in my house all are iPhone users. We need Apple Airplay, please try to add on next update please. We had it on last tv and we would like to have in it too.

  15. Undisclosed

Pros: Great video, no lag when gaming, perfect for watching movies with the family.

Cons: Outside light (from the window or a light on) fades the picture a little.

Other thoughts: Speakers aren’t that bad. I don’t use them just my surround sound.

  16. dennis

    Pros: perfect. good price.good project
